What is Retinal Vein Occlusion
Retinal vein occlusion (RVO) is a blockage of a vein in your eye. This blockage causes swelling and bleeding into the surrounding retinal tissue, affecting its ability to respond to light and can cause reduced vision. It can lead to blindness in some patients if left untreated.

Intravitreal Injection Treatment for Retinal Vein OcclusionÂ
An intravitreal injection is a term used to describe an injection of medication into the vitreous, which is the clear jelly inside the eye. It is given through the sclera (the white of the eye). An injection may need to be repeated over the course of a few months or, in some cases, even years. Intravitreal therapy helps to improve or stabilise your vision most of the time.
